- Currently I am using a rodent model of Roux-en Y Gastric Bypass Surgery to discern the physiological mechanisms through which extreme weight loss and reported modulations in specific food regulation are obtained. Through my research I would like to provide insight into the neural mechanisms promoting all feeding behaviors and apply this knowledge to weight loss treatments and the treatment of obesity comorbidities such as Type II Diabetes.
